Immersive site created for Nickelodeon
Chroma was commissioned by Nickelodeon TV
to develop a standalone Scooby Doo Mystery microsite to promote the release of several DVD releases throughout 2008/09. The illustrated immersive Flash site takes the form of a haunted house that users explore to find hidden features, downloadable PDF activities and discover clues for entry to a secret area.
Once clues are collected and a password deciphered, users gain entry to a hidden room where they can enter a competition. Other features include a compelling Scooby-themed platform game, clips from the DVDs, wallpaper downloads and animations. As each new DVD is released, a new room is opened for users to explore with new features hidden within. Through regular releases, users have been enticed back regularly to see what's new and enter a refreshed competition each time.
The haunted house was devised and illustrated by Chroma and mirrors a real-world location used for on-air Nickelodeon TV spots that were an integral part of the campaign.
